devMetrics 2.0 – Software Metrics SDK for .NET C#
Anticipating Minds announces the release of
devMetrics 2.0. devMetrics
is a software development and management tool that provides software metrics
for .NET C#. By reporting both summary and detail information, developers and
managers can quickly identify high-risk areas, target areas in need of
refactoring and make more informed project decisions.
devMetrics 2.0 Free Community Edition
devMetrics 2.0
has just been released with two editions. As with version 1.0 there is a
free community edition that still provided analysis and reporting of metrics
for C# code. This new version of the Community Edition outputs the results to
an XML file which allows for highly customized report formatting.
devMetrics 2.0 Professional Edition with SDK
New with the 2.0 release is a Professional Edition which
provides a software development kit (SDK) for creating custom software metrics.
This SDK opens up a whole new world to those who monitor and measure their
software process, allowing them to create the measures that are important to
them without having to build their own static code analyzer. The SDK exposes
the engine used by Anticipating Minds in creating devMetrics and
devAdvantage.
The devMetrics 2.0 Professional Edition
sells for $75.00
and allows users to run not only the custom metrics they have developed, but
metrics developed by others. Anticipating Minds has also created a location on
their site for users of devMetrics to
share their work
allowing the community to expand the wealth of software metrics and reports
available.
Software Vendor Licenses
Anticipating Minds is also offering a special licensing
arrangement for those who are interested in distributing their own metrics to
the large population of Community Edition users. This option allows authors,
consultants and other software vendors to quickly share their expertise and
name with a large and existing devMetrics market. Anticipating Minds also
offers marketing and sales support for these partners.
